At TEFAF Maastricht, Belgian jewellery designer Dries Criel presents thirty unique pieces created especially for the occasion. Obumex realised the stand in collaboration with Antwerp-based studio Merckx/Holvoet. A monochrome environment of palm wood and raffia that lets the jewellery speak for itself.
Belgian craftsmanship on view at TEFAF Maastricht
Craft deserves the right setting:
Dries Criel at TEFAF Maastricht
Former ballet dancer turned designer, Criel founded his brand in 2018. His work brings together movement and architectural form into pieces that are as much sculpture as jewellery. TEFAF marks an important milestone for the young Belgian designer, whose practice continues to gain international attention.
The project reflects Obumex's ongoing interest in spaces where exceptional objects and craftsmanship can be experienced in context.
