This atypical approach grants the design concept a sense of timelessness and added "value". Compared to a traditional kitchen island, it can be conceived more as a functional sculpture and less as a kitchen.

the kitchen has four different ‘faces’
As a starting point for his kitchen design, Nicolas Schuybroek rethought the block-like typology of a kitchen island and transformed it into a more dynamic factor, based on “the golden ratio”. The result is a carefully studied stacking of sculptural block elements, with interesting shifts between them. The design is also conceived in such a way that from each side, a different interesting view can be observed. In fact, the kitchen has four different ‘faces’, depending on the viewer’s perspective.
